How do I delete a dashboard?

Deleting a dashboard removes it from the sidebar for everyone in the space, together with all of its widgets. The Insights and the data behind the widgets stay untouched.

There are two ways to delete a dashboard: from the sidebar, or from inside an open dashboard.

Note: Deleted dashboards cannot be restored. Deleting a dashboard also removes its widgets, but does not remove the underlying Insights.

1. In the left sidebar, hover over the dashboard you want to delete and click the ⋮ icon that appears. Or open the dashboard and click the ⋮ icon at the top right of the toolbar.

   

2. Select Delete from the menu.

3. In the dialog Delete dashboard, confirm by clicking Delete.

   

After the dashboard is deleted you land on the Home page of your space.

Troubleshooting

I deleted a dashboard by accident

• Deleted dashboards cannot be restored. You will need to create a new dashboard and rebuild its widgets.

I don't see the Delete entry

• Deleting requires at least the User role. Members with the Reader role can open dashboards but not delete them. Ask your space admin to update your role.

I want to remove a dashboard from the sidebar without deleting it

• Move it to another project instead. Drag it in the sidebar onto the project that should hold it, see Create a project.
